Challenge Business visualization, ECCOM Smart Network Traffic analysis software released

December 2013, ECCOM’s software development team officially releases ECCOM’s Smart Network Traffic Analysis Software named SmartFlow.

Development Background

Whether its’ mobile computing, big data, cloud computing, or business intelligence, operations and maintenance are facing more and more challenges. Financial securities customers' business systems are often developed in multi-hierarchical structures, and are complex. Operations and maintenance personnel urgently require an understanding of the business flow, baselines, and trends.

In traditional network management, snmp, icmp, syslog, ssh can only indicate operational status of devices, but cannot show you business operations statuses. When an exception occurs in the business, network management software cannot tell you where the fault appears. ECCOM smart network traffic analysis software can directly analyze network traffic data, and integrate with other existing system topologies, business information, collect related operations statistics, determine if network equipment or network traffic is abnormal. Using network flow, fault location, and business performance to help customers achieve business visualization, and is the most effective method for network troubleshooting and tuning.

Development History

During NetScout and NetEagle implementation projects, many customers asked to see in-depth business in-depth information. Due to the lack of suitable analytical methods in the past, these requirements have been difficult to achieve.

After a long technical reserve and many discussions, in early 2013, Smartflow development officially started. Borrowing from the basic architecture of NetEagle software, Smartflow has been tested and promoted in a number of securities and banking customer projects with good feedback from customers.

Software Features

SmartFlow is designed for high-end customers, and features innovative use of the latest high-performance open source technology. It combines powerful scripting language analysis, and has all the advantages of flexible architecture, intelligent modeling, and multi-level analysis. Using  Pcap, SFI, CDE interfaces to obtain key data segment for network traffic analysis, intelligence analysis through business logic operations, and presented by the display module. Rapid expansion of the business logic and ease of maintenance, multi-level analysis to meet the real-time, high-performance distributed design are SmartFlow features. The current version has a variety of functions, including support for multiple data sources, data analysis, data flow TOP ranking, service paths, and fault discovery.
